| Today, HW, a regular rider, got her share of independence when she rode without the aid of a lead-walker! Lead-walkers typically guide horses with riders around the area as the rider has their lesson. These leaders are essential volunteers; however, we like to allow our riders to do as much as they can by themselves. This is important, especially in the case of someone who is differently-abled, because they so often have things done for them, or are told they are unable to do things. HW loved her chance to be the in-charge leader today, and she did such a great job. Congratulations, HW! |
